Introduction

My name is Edgardo Aragon, and I am a Human Factors Master's student

As a latino in tech, I am very proud of where I came from and who I have become. Everyone has their own story, and I am still writing mine. I am a Mexican immigrant who was raised in Stockton, California.

Growing up, I had a strong interest in statistics, so I pursued a bachelor's degree in economics and it brought me to San Jose State University. Moving to the Bay Area was quite a culture shock, but I quickly found my place in the culture and was able to work at amazing places such as Stanford, Meta, and YouGov since graduating. All of these companies had a high standard, and I believe they helped develop me into the ever-curious person I am today.

I first had an interest in UX when working on my senior project in college, but I was able to apply myself more into how design impacted people's perception when I worked as a survey analyst at YouGov. Now I am in a Human Factors and Ergonomics graduate program with a concentration in User Experience at San Jose State, and I am very excited in starting the next part of my journey.
